Anxiety

Do you find yourself lost in thought and constantly worried about what the future holds for you?

If you do, you may also experience sleepless nights that lead into exhaustion filled days.  Are you constantly finding your mind overwhelmed with thoughts racing from one concern to the next?  Perhaps you may even find your mind going blank or having difficulty focusing on tasks.  Although this seems like it’s become a permanent part of your life, it doesn’t have to remain so.

The therapists here understand that dealing with anxiety can touch every aspect of your life and feel like it’s a problem that cannot be solved.  The cruel irony of anxiety is that without assistance, you may feel guilty when you find yourself worry free for a brief moment or a few days.  Our therapists can help you develop the tools that will give you a different relationship with your mind and body that will ensure that worrying has no home in your daily routine.  Don’t allow anyone to convince you that caring and worrying are basically the same thing.  They aren’t and our therapists will help you to better understand the difference.

What is Anxiety?

Anxiety is our natural reaction to stress but when it causes you difficulty with normal daily life, it is then a problem. Anxiety is our brain’s way of telling us we may be in danger. While this was beneficial hundreds of years ago, it does not always protect us in our modern world. Anxiety can cause us to obsess over imagined situations that may never even occur!

If you struggle with anxiety, you may notice it interferes with your work life, relationships, or school performance. Anxiety impacts how we view the world around us and shifts our focus often on the things we cannot control.
